Junior Infants were learning about coding today, as part of our school’s celebration of EU code week.
They were using ‘Beebots’ to learn about the importance of sequencing and giving precise directions. The children gave commands to the ‘Beebots’ by pressing buttons, which instructed the ‘Beebots’ to either go forward, backward, rotate or repeat the sequence. The children engaged in pair-work to complete tasks, by commanding their ‘Beebot’ to reach different colour blocks on the mat.
