It was Audrey Hepburn that once said ‘to plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow’.
With this sentiment in mind, on Monday, April 12th the Senior Infants sowed seeds as part of the ‘Innocent Big Grow’. This project was sponsored by Innocent smoothies and we were successful in being selected for a place on this programme.
The children each sowed their own seeds, and different groups within the class sowed different varieties. We planted radishes, salad leaves, spinach, beetroot and peas.
We are delighted to say that one week later, the seeds have germinated! We will keep you posted on our planting journey!
