On September 30th , Ballyduff National School took part in a European wide day of school activity in conjunction with the Irish Primary PE Association called European Sports Day 2022. We achieved this through our participation in swimming and gymnastics and other yard games. All classes from Junior Infants to 6th took part in Gymnastics and First Class to Sixth Class participated in swimming. It was lovely to be part of this major international activity initiative.
Our pupils are currently engaging in 3 weeks of gymnastics in Ballybunion Community Centre. It is an excellent opportunity for the children. They covered lots from balances and jumps to rolls! Gymnastics is a strand in the Primary School Curriculum and is part of our Physical Education Programme.
They are also completing 6 weeks of swimming as part of our aquatics programme in Ballybunion Health and Leisure Centre. Aquatics is a strand in the Primary School Curriculum and part of our Physical Education Programme.
