Junior Infants – Off to a great start!

Tús maith leath na hoibre!

Our new Junior Infants have settled in very well! It’s hard to believe that over a month has past by, since their first day.

They have been busy learning about rhyme and syllables in English, sorting items by colour and size in maths and an Scoil (school) in Irish. They are enjoying gymnastics in Ballybunion. They engage in some playtime every morning, to further develop their social skills and imagination. Each morning, they engage in wake-up shake-up with our Good Morning song, which gets everyone energised and ready to learn!

Our latest Aistear theme was School. The children learned about the different staff members and rooms in the school, designed their own uniforms, used play dough to create classroom scenes, puppets for small world play and building blocks to design their own schools. They went on a nature walk for SESE and ticked all the items we saw off our Autumn checklist.
