As part of the celebration of the 1916 centenary Ballyduff National School was invited to a special celebration in Banna. It was attended by President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins and the Irish army. It was a fabulous occasion.
The Irish Tri-colour flag was presented to Ballyduff National School by Sgt. Denis McGarry. The Irish flag was then raised in a special school celebration. It was a very enjoyable and memorable occasion.
