As part of the Heritage in Schools scheme science expert Catherine Daly visited our school. Third and Fourth Class were learning about ‘The Super Furry Animals’ and invertebrates. The children got a real active hands-on experience in ecology through the use of pooters and sample gathering. They then viewed their samples using a microscope. They learned interesting facts about Ireland’s wildlife, animal adaptation and participated in some science experiments. A very enjoyable and educational day was had by all.
